However, demand for heavy fuel oil dropped by an average of 2.5 % in both Japan and the U.S., while increasing by a mere 1.3 % in Western Europe.
The available data indicates that petroleum products demand has rebounded from the decline it suffred during 1974-75, as indicated in Tables 1 and 2.
